Captain

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Associate Captain. The Associate Captain will work closely with the Captain to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel and provide excellent customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Captain with all navigational duties, including plotting and monitoring the vessel’s course, keeping logs, and communicating with shore-side support.
• Oversee the safety of the vessel and all onboard guests and crew, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with the crew and provide leadership and guidance as required.
• Assist with the management of all onboard operations, including maintenance, cleaning, and provisioning.
• Ensure that all guests are provided with exceptional service and their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
• Take responsibility for the vessel in the Captain’s absence and act as the person in charge of the vessel when required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of vessel operations by identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.
• Support the Captain with crew management and training as required.

Requirements:

• A minimum of five years experience working as a licensed officer on a vessel.
• A valid STCW certificate of competency for the rank of Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical skills and the ability to operate and maintain vessel systems and equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours and be on call 24/7.
• Experience working in the luxury hospitality or yachting industry is preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
